Procedures.
Do I need to make a reservation?
There is usually space available at most classes. However, there are some time slots that can fill up. These are indicated by "Popular Time: Reservation Suggested" on the schedule. You might want to reserve a spot for these times. The reservation system is found on the schedule page, where it says "Book Now". If the reservation system isn't working on your computer, then we recommend coming to class without a reservation. There is usually room for a few more people.
Which level should I start with?
Please watch the demonstration videos on our front (home) page. These videos can give you an idea of what is involved in this class. If these exercises look hard, and you think you will need some time to work up to these exercises, then we recommend starting with Level 1. On the other hand, if these exercises look like you can handle now, then please do not come to level 1. Instead, start at level 2 or 3.
These levels are only guidelines, and we realize that you might have to come when it fits into your schedule.
What do I wear? Do I have to bring anything?
You can wear clothes like you would wear to a yoga class. Running shorts are not quite enough coverage. You don't need to bring a mat because we have thick high quality mats for core work. Please bring a bottle of water! It is a workout, and almost everyone wants a drink of water at some point, even in winter.
Can I attend if I'm pregnant?
Consult with your doctor. We are not able to give medical advice.
Where is the studio located?
Pilates For Bodies is available exclusively at Mojo Flow Studio in downtown Davis at 355 Second Street, upstairs, above Helmus Optometry. Please use the door on the far left hand (West) side of the building.
If I buy a month pass, can I come to any class?
Yes.
How often should I come?
The more you can make it to class, the better your results will be. We recommend setting your goal on at least twice a week, so that you will be able to gain strength and see some results.
Do you take credit cards?
Sorry, but no.
I'm interested in becoming an Apprentice Instructor?
An Apprentice Instructor starts by helping an experienced instructor to lead a class. When you are an Apprentice Instructor, you get your classes free and a little stipend as well. The first step to is come to class for two weeks at least three times a week. We need to know you are serious. Please don't bring this subject up until you have completed this first step.
I went by the studio and the door was locked. When are you there?
When there is no class is session, the studio is closed. If you get to the studio early, you might get there before the instructor does. Please wait until the class start time, because we rarely miss a class.
How can I be informed about cancellations or changes in the schedule?
We send out an announcement to our email list of all cancellations or changes to the schedule. If you want to be on this list, please send an email to info@PilatesForBodies.com with subject heading "subscribe".
Do you have a shower? Sorry, but no. We do have a room for you to change in.
